The D2 Business Starter Programme is an exciting new initiative giving all Derbyshire residents the opportunity to explore their business potential and learn how to set up a new business with a series of flexible, funded workshops and one-to-one support. The support is delivered by experienced professionals working with small groups at local venues.
Whatever stage your business idea is at, the programme can offer you all the support you need to become a successful entrepreneur and to get your business started!
What support is available?
Once you have enrolled, you will be invited to attend a series of workshops over a number of weeks covering the following topics:
Enrolment, Is it for me? – The skills needed to run a business, Building business relationships, Understanding your market, Financial planning, Sales and marketing, Marketing strategy, Business planning, Laws and legislation
Each participant will receive one-to-one support with an experienced Enterprise Adviser. This will enable you to create and develop realistic and innovative business ideas and motivate you to focus on achieving your business goals.
How to get Started?
We need you to enrol and register in the first instance. We will discuss with you a package of support tailored to meet your individual needs and will arrange the most suitable workshops for you to attend in line with your skills and experience.
To be eligible for this initiative you must be resident of Derby City or Derbyshire.
