Tuesday 16th June saw Business Peak District‘s Summer Networking event bring together 50 business representatives at Aquabox HQ in Cromford, for an enjoyable afternoon of connection, conversation and inspiration.

Hosted by the incredible team at Aquabox in Wirksworth, the event offered attendees the opportunity not only to network with fellow businesses but also to learn more about the inspiring work taking place right here in our region.

Guests heard from our keynote speaker:

Jenni Mackay of CX Heroes kicked us off with a thought provoking session about the power of storytelling in business, which provided plenty of ideas to take away and reflect on.

Rob Barlow, Trustee of Aquabox and recently awarded with an MBE, provided an overview of the incredible work Aquabox undertakes.  Through the dedication of their volunteers, Aquabox delivers safe drinking water and humanitarian aid to communities affected by disasters across the world.  We are hugely grateful to the team for welcoming us and sharing the impact of their work – and we hope everyone who joined us left inspired to help spread the word.

We also heard from Derbyshire Dales District Council and their most recent business and community grant scheme, which is open now. To find out more and apply, please visit: www.investinderbyshiredales.org.

Our attendees connected with familiar faces and formed new connections, continuing the collaborative spirit that makes the BPD community so valuable.

As one of our members said:

“For me, it hit the sweet spot of what great networking should be – inspiration, learning, meaningful conversations and a chance to connect with people who genuinely want to support one another”.

All of these generous contributions added extra enjoyment to the evening. Thank you to all who contributed and to East Midlands Chamber for co-delivering this event.

Until next time!
