Local businesses, farmers, and landowners across the peak district are invited to take part in its ‘Business for Nature’ consultation. This initiative aims to explore how businesses can integrate nature-friendly practices while ensuring sustainable growth in the region.

This initiative is being led by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust (DWT), in partnership with the University of Derby and the East Midlands Chamber, and is a project to identify the barriers that businesses face and discover how best to support their engagement with Nature-Based Solutions.

As part of the consultation, two focus group events are being held:

Business for Nature – Business Focus Group

This session is open to businesses interested in incorporating sustainability and nature-based solutions into their operations. Discussions will focus on practical steps and collaborative opportunities.

Business for Nature – Farmers, Landowners, and Rural Businesses Focus Group

📍 Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Sandy Hill, Middleton
Tailored for farmers, landowners, and rural enterprises, this event will address challenges and opportunities in integrating nature into land and business management.

Both of these events provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share their experiences, contribute to shaping future strategies, and connect with others passionate about balancing business with nature.
