Incoterms ® 2020 Overview – International trade rules
This webinar is hosted by the D2N2 Growth Hub, East Midlands Chamber and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Incoterms® rules are an internationally recognised set of three letter acronyms which define the risks and responsibilities of buyers and sellers for the movement of goods around the globe.
They should be a key part of trade negotiations but who is responsible for agreeing these terms and how well do they understand them? Have you considered the impact of the revision of the rules which was launched in January? Have you assessed whether you need to revise the terms you currently use with EU customers ready for when the transition period ends – and why this may be so important?
In this webinar we will take a look at the Incoterms® 2020 rules: their history and purpose; and how they should be used in international trade. Exploring contracts and cost implications, we will examine key terminology and some of the implications of using the wrong terms.

Speaker Information
Becky has been an accredited member of the Institute of Export for over twenty years and runs her own business delivering international trade support and training to SME’s from a wide range of industry sectors across the UK.
Becky works on private and public-sector projects, including assistance for companies engaged with support programmes with both the DIT and Welsh Government. She has been involved in the delivery of mentoring and training for hundreds of SMEs over the years, both independently and with associate projects. She is actively engaged by Chambers of Commerce across the UK to deliver British Chambers of Commerce accredited and non-accredited courses, and also offers independent training courses ranging from strategic development to the practicalities of the import and export processes. These are available as both public and in-house courses. In response to the current business climate, a new suite of suite of short, online sessions has now been developed to enable traders to continue their learning journey from the safety of their own office – hopefully with a nice cup of coffee and not too much distraction!
