Enhancing Leadership Capability – Authentic Leadership

This webinar is hosted by the D2N2 Growth Hub, East Midlands Chamber and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
When things are changing rapidly or at times of uncertainty, we naturally look to those who can provide leadership and confidence to point the way.
The expression of “me” for the benefit of “we” is a way to describe the concept of Authentic Leadership. Powerful leaders have a strong sense of self, knowing their own strengths and being comfortable to also acknowledge their limitations.
Many traditional theories suggest that there is a right and wrong way to lead and inspire others, yet there has never been a definitive list. Being moulded into a persona that doesn’t come naturally can lead to an uncomfortable and unsustainable situation for a manager, confusion for staff members, fractured work relationships or mistrust.
Authentic Leadership explores the concept of acknowledging your own traits, and personality, and working with this to find your own self-styled leadership characteristics which suit you and your work environment.
This webinar will cover:
- Authenticity – understanding the concept its place alongside more traditional models of leadership.
- Self-belief and the confidence/competence link.
- Authentic behaviours and the link to values, attitudes and beliefs.
- Recognising your own traits and natural leadership style – how to use this to best effect.
- Q&A session.
