Our FREE HR Essentials for Accountants course provides an introduction on how to deal with staff issues. Getting things wrong or “not knowing what to do” is not a defence in an Employment Tribunal.

Topics covered include:

Managing absence, including sickness.

Handling redundancies.

What is a grievance and what is the procedure?

How to handle under-performing staff.

Discipline issues and disciplinary hearings.

How to handle a dismissal.

Our trainer, Stef Avery, is an experienced HR professional who has worked in a variety of businesses and sectors during her career. Prior to joining The HR Dept, Stef spent 13 years working as HR Manager for at a variety of Tesco sites, before becoming HR Manager (and a client of the HR Dept) at a local transport company. Stef understands the challenges facing small to medium sized businesses,  and has a practical and commercial approach to HR. Stef is HR Manager at The HR Dept North Derbyshire and is responsible for providing our retained clients with advice and guidance across all areas of HR. In addition Stef is available to provide on-site support as required.
