The Food and Drink Forum are delighted to work on behalf of Marketing Peak District and Derbyshire (MPDD) to offer Derbyshire food and drink producers and  visitor economy businesses  the opportunity to attend this fully funded course to help you grow and develop your businesses through the amazing food and drink products produced.

Digital and social media marketing is essential to the success of promoting food and drink products for both manufacturers of food and drink products but also businesses that produce for consumers i.e. cafes, restaurants, delicatessens and bed and breakfasts.  We are delighted to welcome marketer and food producer Victoria Prince to deliver this one day course for our clients.


The aim of the event is to work with small businesses and help them to prepare their digital marketing strategy for the year to build up a new customer base and stay in touch with an existing one.


  • The holistic plan for your business and how digital marketing will play a part in building your brand and driving sales.
  • Social Media: What’s working and what changes do you need for 2019?
  • Email Marketing: Speaking to existing customers and building your Email database
  • Website Updates: What changes does your site need to reflect your 2019 plans?
  • Blogging for your business: Considering SEO and imagery
  • Digital PR: Outreach to Bloggers
  • Calendar of food related dates for the year e.g. Chocolate Week, to add into your plan!

Who Should Attend?

Businesses that wish to increase their digital marketing exposure to promote their business.

This course is designed to be highly participative and practical. Please bring your electronic devices, laptops or smart phones.

Event Details:

No of places available: 12

Cost: Fully funded, (non attendance maybe charged)

Timings: 9.00/9.30 – 4.00 pm

Refreshments: Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for funding your business must be:

  • A visitor economy(accommodation, attraction, activity provider, food and drink provider etc) or a food and drink producer (supply chain)
  • Based in Derbyshire (and their supply chain)
  • Be an SME (less than 250 FTE employees, have a balance sheet of less than €43m and/or turnover of less than €50m and not be more than 25% owned by another business that is not an SME

12 hours of business support is available at no cost for qualifying businesses thanks to  the project funding. If you wish to attend more than 12 hours of workshops then you may be charged at the commercial rate, however, if you are a member of Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire, there is no limit of events you can attend.

The Food and Drink Forum is delighted to be working on behalf of Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire to offer visitor economy businesses and their supply chain within Derbyshire a range of fully funded business support workshops.  Our ‘Growing and Developing the Visitor Economy within Derbyshire’ project is funded by: the European Regional Development Fund, Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire, Derbyshire County Council, Peak District National Park Authority, Derbyshire Dales District Council, and High Peak Borough Council.

The wide range of business support workshops are aimed at helping you and your business achieve its full potential and introduce you to new markets and visitors, boosting your competitiveness.

  • Promoting Derbyshire Products
  • Supporting Market Towns
