Simply being good is not enough any more — you need to be better than that if you want to stand out from the crowd and surpass your competition.

Whatever product or service they are looking for, customers have a wide range of options and different brands to choose from, most of which are equally great. With such a tough competition, the only way to distinguish yourself from other businesses is to go out of your way to help your customers and provide an excellent customer service. Customer service training can help you learn how to do that, helping you retain your existing customers and outshine your competition in no time.

Dina Holland, Director, Peak Insight is enthusiastic and passionate about training and coaching and can break down complex business information into simple bite sized pieces in an enjoyable learning environment. She has over 30 years’ experience in business as a Business Owner, Sales & Marketing Senior Manager & Director, Business Teacher, Master Trainer, Learning & Development Assessor and World Host Trainer delivering numerous workshops and mentoring throughout the UK.

This workshop is free for visitor economy businesses based in Derbyshire to attend as it is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through our ‘Growing and Developing the Visitor Economy within Derbyshire’ project. Attendance will require you to compete an eligibility application form prior to attendance. By booking on to the workshop you are agreeing to attend, should you be unable to attend, failure to cancel your booking within 48 hours of the workshop will result in us invoicing you for £250 + VAT per person; the commercial cost of the session.

Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire is delighted to be able to offer visitor economy businesses within Derbyshire a range of fully funded business support workshops.  Our ‘Growing and Developing the Visitor Economy within Derbyshire’ project is funded by: the European Regional Development Fund, Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire, Derbyshire County Council, Peak District National Park Authority, Derbyshire Dales District Council, and High Peak Borough Council.

The wide range of business support workshops are aimed at helping you and your business achieve its full potential and introduce you to new markets and visitors, boosting your competitiveness.

Workshops will be themed under the following strands:

  • Pedal Peak for Business Initiative
  • Inspired by the Peak District
  • Promoting Derbyshire Products
  • Supporting Market Towns
  • Delivery of new and emerging business support needs to boost competitiveness

To qualify for funding your business must be:

  • A visitor economy business (accommodation, attraction, activity provider, food and drink provider etc)
  • Based in Derbyshire
  • Be an SME (less than 250 FTE employees, have a balance sheet of less than €43m and/or turnover of less than €50m and not be more than 25% owned by another business that is not an SME

12 hours of business support is available at no cost for qualifying businesses thanks to  the project funding. If you wish to attend more than 12 hours of workshops then you may be charged at the commercial rate, however, if you are a member of Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire, there is no limit.
